Create a new Estimate based on inventory currently located at a job site. You can create the Estimate to rent or to sell inventory.

Creating New Rent Estimate from Job Site Balances

Quantify enables you to create a new rent Estimate based on inventory currently located at a job site. 

To create a new rent Estimate from Job Site balances:

1. Locate and right-click the appropriate Job Site, then select Rent from the New Estimate for On Rent Balance sub-menu.

The Estimate dialog appears.

2. Click the Delivery calendar icon ().


The calendar appears.

3. Locate and click the appropriate delivery date.

4. Click the Return calendar icon ().

The calendar appears.

3. Locate and click the appropriate return date.

4. Click in the Label text field and enter the appropriate label.

The Notes text field displays the date and time the Job Site balance was used to create the Estimate. This will appear on the printed estimate.

5. As necessary, click in the Notes text field and edit the existing notes.

6. Click the Products tab.

The View filter defaults to Showing: Parts on Estimate and the dialog displays the parts and counts currently at the Job Site.

7. Click in the Quantity text field and enter the appropriate quantity for this part.

8. Click in the Rent text field and enter the appropriate rent for this part.

Note: The rent rates default to the rent rates in the Rate Profile in effect for the Job Site.

9. If applying a Rent Calculator, click the Rent Calculator dropdown and select the appropriate calculator.

10. Click in the Factor Value text field and enter the appropriate value for this part.

11. If applying Factor Multiplier, click the Factor Multiplier dropdown and select the appropriate multiplier.

12. Repeat the above steps as many times as necessary.

Creating New Sell Estimate from Job Site Balances

Create a new sell Estimate based on inventory currently located at a job site. You can create the Estimate using replacement costs or for the sell price. 

To create a new sell Estimate from Job Site balances:

1. Locate and right-click the appropriate Job Site, then select either Using Replacement Cost or Using Sell Price from the Sell sub-menu.


The Estimate dialog appears.

2. Click the Customer dropdown and select the appropriate customer.

Note: The Estimate price is for radio button is pre-set to Sell Available.

3. Click the Delivery calendar icon ().


A calendar appears.


4. Locate and click the appropriate delivery date.

This date will appear on the printed estimate.

The Notes text field displays the date and time the Job Site balance was used to create the Estimate. This will appear on the printed estimate.

5. As necessary, click in the Notes text field and edit the existing notes.

6. Click the Products tab.

The View filter defaults to Showing: Parts on Estimate and the dialog displays the parts and counts currently at the Job Site.

8. Click in the Sell text field and enter the appropriate sell price for this part.

9. Click the Sell Calculator dropdown and select the appropriate calculator.

10. Click in the Factor Value text field and enter the appropriate value for this part.

11. Click the Factor Multiplier dropdown and select the appropriate multiplier.

12. Repeat the above steps as many times as necessary.

13. Update the remaining tabs as needed.

14. Click OK.

Quantify adds the Estimate to the Estimates tab for the Branch Office.
