Each Request must have a status. Request Statuses are assigned at the Job Site level. Default Statuses may be added from the Job Site dialog. Statuses may be added and modified via the Request tab's Statuses option.

This article contains the following:

Enabling the Default Request Statuses

Before you can work with Quantify's Request Statuses, you must enable the default Statuses.  You do this on a Job Site-by-Job Site basis.

To manage Job Site request Statuses:

1. Locate and click the appropriate Job Site, then click the Edit Selected Item button ().

The Job Site dialog appears.

2. Click the Requests tab.

3. If no Status exist, click Create Default.

A confirmation dialog appears.

4. Click Yes.

The Job Site dialog returns.

5. Click OK.

Adding a Request Status

Once the default Request Statuses have been enabled, you can add and use customized Request Statuses. 

To add a Request Status:

1. Locate and click the appropriate Job Site, then click the Requests tab.

2. Click Statuses.

The Request Statuses dialog appears.

3. Click the appropriate Status and click the Edit button ().

The List Item dialog appears.

4. Click in the Name text field and enter a name for the new Request Status.

5. Click OK.

The Request Statuses dialog returns.

6. Repeat the above two steps as many times as necessary,

7. Click Close.

Editing a Request Status

Quantify enables you to edit the information associated with any Request Status: it's name and description and whether it is active.

To edit a Request Status:

1. Locate and click the appropriate Job Site, then click the Requests tab.

2. Click Statuses.

The Request Statuses dialog appears.

3. Click the appropriate Status and click the Edit button ().

The List Item dialog appears.

As necessary:

4. Click the Active checkbox, to remove its check. this deactivates, but does not delete, the Status.

5. Click in the Name text field and enter a new name for the Status.

6. Click in the Description text field and enter a description of the Status.

 

7.Repeat the above three steps as many times as necessary.

8. Click OK.

The Request Statuses dialog returns.

9. Click Close.

Deleting a Request Status

Quantify enables you to delete a Request Status at any time, including a default request Status.

To delete a Request Status:

1. Locate and click the appropriate Job Site, then click the Requests tab.

2. Click Statuses.

The Request Statuses dialog appears.

3. Click the appropriate Status and click the Delete button ().

A confirmation dialog appears.

4. Click Yes.

The Request Statuses dialog returns, minus the deleted Status.

5. Repeat the above two steps as many times as necessary,

6. Click Close.
