A straight-run Pilaster is built into a Wall by connecting a Walls to either end of a Pilaster shape.
Pilasters are formed by default using Pilaster forms. You can change this option to use regular Formwork Panels and corners by setting the Use pilaster forms option to FALSE in the Shape Data window of each Pilaster shape. Setting this on each Pilaster shape enables you to have some Pilasters that use Pilaster forms, and others that use regular Formwork. The default may be changed in the Formwork Options dialog (refer to About the Formwork Options Dialog for more information).
If Use Pilaster Forms is set to TRUE but the Wall extends out longer than the Pilaster form, Handset Designer will make the design with regular Formwork Panels and fillers.
Ties
If the Pilaster is large enough that a single Panel will not fit, Handset Designer will fit multiple Panels or fillers into the space and tie them together using a Formwork Tie. The vertical Tie frequency and wedge bolt materials are the same frequency used for the same height Wall.
