# Adding a Mapbox API Token

**Mapbox** is a location data platform that powers map and location services. Adding a Mapbox token allows you to view the Map in the satellite view on the Map screen.

When you select to view the Map in Satellite view, and you do not have a token, you will see an error message stating the satellite maps will not display because the token is missing.

To add a Mapbox token, you will first need to create a valid Mapbox token. > **Note: It is recommended to enlist the help of the administrator and a developer to acquire a Mapbox token.**

When you have a valid token, follow the steps below to add the token.

1. From any screen, select **Global Settings**
