New Features
- Stair Towers - The Stair Tower feature has been completely redesigned. After dragging and dropping the Stair Tower control to the desired location on the drawing page, a control dialog will open. This dialog contains options for Stair Tower Type, Materials, Height/Elevation, and Guardrails.
- Full Stairs - 8-Leg, 10-Leg, 12-Leg, and 16-Leg options.
- Compact Stairs - 8-Leg as well as 4-Leg Half-Bay, Single Flight, and Stacked options.
- Kwikstage Step Down Bracket - A Step Down Bracket can be added to Kwikstage Stair Towers.
- Ladders -The Ladders feature has been expanded to support additional materials as well as options and size settings for both inside and outside access. The ability to skip a ladder allows for deck penetration.
- Outside Access Types - Fully Open, Partially Open (No Gate), Full Guardrails (Closed), Handrail Only, Swing Gate.
- Inside Access Types - Open, Partially Open, Mid-Transom Ledger-Ledger, Mid-Transom Ledger-Deck.
- Bay Details -Many added options in the Bay Details control including Base Node Elevation, Cantilever Top Support Brace Type and Height, Skip Sides, Skip Guardrails, Base Collar, and Screwjack Height.
- Skip Vertical - The ability to skip or remove verticals adds significant design flexibility such as creating plank-only bays for spanning gaps.
- Material Advanced Options - Advanced options for controlling material Priority, number of Stair Steps, Stair Types, and much more.
- Catalogs - Manufacturer catalogs, such as Layher, are now available for import using the catalog import. The import provides options to replace materials with the selected catalog or to add to existing materials.
- 3D Movel - The color used to display materials in the 3D Model view for a drawing can be customized in the Material Master.
- Auto-Save - Drawings are now automatically saved to a temporary file which can be recovered in the event of an unexpected close. Save interval can be set through the Home tab > Save menu.
- Pedestrian (Child-Safe) Guardrails - Child-Safe Guardrails can be applied to bays and stairs using Bay Details, the Bay Level Editor, or the Stair Tower dialog.
- Lines - Lines added to the Drawing Page can be converted to Wall shapes using the Convert to Walls feature located in the Drawing control ribbon.
Enhancements
- Vector Images - Vector images of the 3D Model view can be copied to the clipboard. Vector images have a transparent background and re-size well on the drawing page.
- Lahyer Material - Added materials such as U-Ledgers and Lift-Off Preventers. Also improved logic and design functionality when using Layher materials.
- CAD Drawings - CAD drawing properties such as scale and layer can be set before inserting to a drawing.
- Top Level Bracing - Bracing to the top level of a bay can be added when an adjoining bay extends higher.
- Material Groups - New Material Groups have been added to the Material Master.
- Stock Materials - Updated and added materials to the Material Master to support new features and options. Stock materials are now flagged with an optionally visible check box.
- Custom Materials - Custom added materials in the Material Master are easily identified with bold text.
- Ties - Ties can be be easily added to any bay using the updated Bay Level Editor control.
- Material Export - The material Export will now export only the materials shown in the grid based upon filters and sorting options.
- Pipe Shape - The pipe shape now supports an interior diameter along with the existing exterior diameter dimension.
- Bay Level Editor More Options - The More options feature for levels in the Bay Level Editor has been redesigned for easier use.
- Diag. Brace Renamed - Diag. Brace fields have been renamed to Vert. Brace for consistency.
- Swing Gate for Cup Type Scaffold - Updated logic when Swing Gate material is not found for Cup Type designs. Knee Brace will now be removed and the Top Guardrail will remain by default.
- Plank Selection - Plank selection logic has been improved so bay levels will be planked more efficiently to improve coverage and reduce gaps.
- Help Control Ribbon - Help features and links can be easily accessed using the new Help tab/control ribbon.
- Error Reporting Comments - Comments can now be added before submitting an error report to Avontus.
- Metric Leg Loads - The unit of measure for metric leg load calculations has been updated from kN to N.
- Leg Load Calculations - Leg Load calculations have been improved to included supported bays without Screwjacks. A supported bay is a bay adjacent to a bay with at least one Screwjack.
- Split Side Bays - When adjacent bays are connected in an L shape, the side of the longer bay will be split automatically, adjusting Guardrail and Toeboard materials.
- Cantilever/Side Bracket - Cantilevers and Side Brackets can be added higher than the parent bay. Cantilevers and Side Brackets can also be added to Connector Bays.
- Dimension Fields - Fields for entering dimensions such as height or elevation now accept both US unit and Metric unit entries. When applicable, the dimension will be automatically converted to match the drawing's unit type. If no unit (cm, ft, etc.) is entered with the numeric value, the drawing's unit type will be used.
- Conceptual 3D View - The Wireframe 3D View has been renamed to Conceptual.
Issues Resolved
- Models in 3D View - Issues with refreshing building shapes in the 3D view have been fixed.
- Screwjack material selection - Swivel Screwjacks will no longer be selected by default for flat bottom stepped walls.
- Stringer Counts - The quantity of stringers counted for Ring Type Scaffold stairs is now correct.
- Copy/Paste Connector Bays - Copy and paste of elevated connector bays no longer results in extended verticals on the new bay.
- Hardware Acceleration - Hardware acceleration is now turned 'Off' by default to address reported performance and stability issues.
- Bay Shapes - Bay Shapes are now dropped directly into their proper location instead of the origin first.
- Grouped Shapes in 3D Views - Groups and nested groups of shapes will now properly display in the 3D views.

This release requires an update to SQL Local DB 2014. After this update, you will be required to reboot your computer before continuing with the installation.
