# Avontus Designer 2024 R1

## Feature Release Notes

- There is a new checkbox option to show/hide the building objects dialog box when adding shapes
- Added new spigot clamps tying into beams and other structures. This is also now an option in the bay details and ladder options.

## Enhancement Release Notes

- Miscellaneous manufacturer catalogs updated with new equipment as well as updated sizes/weights
- When copying 3D image to raster, the background is now transparent
- Improvements to bracing size and placement
- Wall scaffold designs have been improved from customer feedback and crash reporting
- Several improvements to Octo layout with planks/ledgers
- Better accuracy and components on compact stair design
- Multiple improvements to the boiler founding system
- Improvements to 3D CAD Import
- Fix issues with adding nodes to top bay
- South African Kwikstage: Changed the import catalog addressing several missing components and updated sizes
- South African Kwikstage: Fixed layout issued on plank gaps, hatch decks, and hook on ladders

## Issues Resolved

- Fixed all customer-reported crashes.
- Numerous issues with guardrail placement across all manufacturers
- Fixed issue with corner boards not showing up on plan page in rare conditions
- Miscellaneous bugs and improvements with scaffold units
- For kwikstage, fixed bug to use transoms and ledger in the proper location
- Fixed issue where a bay size is changed, in certain cases the conceptual view was not updating
- Fixed issue with copy/paste stairtower and scaffold bays, as well as rare situations that they had extra components
- Customer-reported issues with side brackets were addressed and fixed
- Addressed issue with angle on stacked ladders
- In certain situations, the bay was missing in conceptual view.

## Performance Issues Resolved

- Major improvements opening and rendering large models in both designer and viewer
- Rendering various specific types of scaffolds
- The time to open a drawing is now significantly faster
- Startup time has been improved
- Removed the potential for the warning that only one instance can be run at a time at startup
- Improved response time after selection and then moving/nudging bays, especially with large dancefloors
