# Dismantle

When work has been completed on the scaffold, the scaffold will need to be dismantled. There are two ways to dismantle a scaffold. You can create a Dismantle Request or a Scheduled Dismantle. A scheduled dismantle allows a user to skip the request process.

Once a scaffold has been dismantled, it can then be deleted.

Selecting **Dismantle** will display three options:

- **Create a new request to Dismantle Scaffold** - This opens the **Request** **Details** screen allowing the requestor to create a Request for this dismantle. This can then be [approved](/v1/docs/approving-a-request) in the **Request** screen. The created Request can then be selected as an already existing dismantle.
- **Create a Scheduled Dismantle** - Create a Scheduled Dismantle without creating a new Request. The newly created Scheduled Dismantle can be used for future purposes.
- **Use an existing scheduled dismantle** - Create a Scheduled Dismantle from an already existing dismantle. Any created Scheduled Dismantles or Requests can be selected here.
