# Subscribers and Viewers

There are two types of Roles that can be added: **Subscriber** and **Viewer**.

A **Subscriber** is a user that can access ScaffoldIQ and make changes to the scaffolds.

A **Viewer** is a user that can access ScaffoldIQ but can only view the scaffolds and cannot make any changes other than adding comments.

To add a **Subscriber** role, select the down arrow and choose **Subscriber.**

Here you can add a new role, along with a description, and select which permissions the subscriber user will be granted.

Select **Viewer** to create a **Viewer** role

Here you can add a new role, along with a description, and select which permissions the viewer user will be granted.
