Handset Designer is a Windows-based program that enables you to use the skills that you already have. Hardware requirements are designed to work with your existing infrastructure, minimizing your IT costs.

A license for Microsoft Visio® 2019 is included with your Avontus Designer purchase.

Video Card: Any video card supporting DirectX 11.1 (e.g. Intel HD 4200 or higher)
Display: 1280 x 800 or higher resolution
Due to graphics limitations, we do not support the use of Handset Designer on a virtual machine or remote desktop.
Recommended Hardware
These are our recommended computer hardware specifications to run Handset Designer peak performance, especially for large projects. The parts in bold are those with the greatest impact on Handset Designer's performance.
Processor: Intel Core i7 6700HQ or better (2.50 GHz+)
Memory: 16 GB RAM (32 GB or more recommended)
Hard Disk: SSD hard drive (4 GB available disk space to install)
Video Card: gaming or CAD discrete video card with 4 GB dedicated memory
Display: 1920 x 1080 or higher resolution (2 displays recommended)
As a general rule, a good gaming PC or CAD PC will support Handset Designer. Like any CAD or design application, a computer with better hardware specifications will be able to work with larger drawings without experiencing a decrease in performance.
Other
Due to graphics and licensing limitations, Visio and Handset Designer should not be run in a virtualized environment. Install and run Visio and Handset Designer directly on your computer.
For the best user experience, we recommend using two displays one for drawing, and the other for viewing 3D models.
Administrator rights are required for installation.
