Using DWG TrueView to Convert a DWG File into an AutoCAD 2007 File-
Avontus Designer can only import CAD drawings saved as 2007 format or earlier. So, if you don't have access to AutoCAD or another CAD software, download, install and use DWG TrueView from Autodesk (it's free): https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg/viewers# .
Note: When DWG TrueView converts a file, it does not make a copy and convert that. It converts the original file, in place, leaving only the converted file. In some case, some newer features may be lost. Therefore, make a copy of any files you want to convert before converting.
