A section view is what you would see if you cut your wall in half and looked directly at the end while standing on the ground. Sections show the total wall height, stackup height (if any) and location of ties. (Handset Designer also shows bracing and platform materials in section views, but for reference only. It does not include them in the Bill of Materials or in the the formwork design.) All bracing should be validated to meet the conditions and other criteria for each job site. Sections can be drawn for a wall, multiple walls with steps, curved walls and tanks. Following good formwork building practice, Handset Designer includes a 2 x 4 sill below the stackup.

Note: Sloped walls cannot have sections, as the materials along the wall differ depending on the location of the section on the wall. To see the materials for a sloped wall you will draw an elevation instead.
