# Erecting a Scaffold

When a [request has been approved](https://docs.avontus.com/docs/approving-a-request) by the relevant user, you can now start building the scaffold. You can begin building the scaffold on both the Map screen and Scaffolds screen.

**Erecting a Scaffold from the Map Screen**

1. On the Map screen, select the Scaffold to be erected.
2. Select **Awaiting Build.**
3. Select **Begin Build.**
4. Click **OK.**

5. Select **Build in Progress.**
6. Select **Complete Build.**
7. Click **OK**

**Erecting a Scaffold from the Scaffold Details Screen**

1. From the **Map** screen, go to the **Scaffolds** screen.

> **Note: You can also select a scaffold from the Map and click Scaffold Details.**

2. Double-click or select Details on the scaffold waiting to be erected. This scaffold will be in the **Awaiting** **Build** status. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/ae69c864-58f0-4711-91e1-d1c2f7dff95f/Images/Documentation/image-DFRR7Q4H.png)

> **Note: You can also build the Scaffold by clicking the Awaiting Build status and selecting Begin Build.**

6. > **Note: Admin users have the ability to specify what happens after a Scaffold is erected in the** [**Scaffold Settings**](/v1/docs/scaffold-settings)**.**
