# Scaffolds/Requests (IOS)

The button determines whether requests or scaffolds are displayed on the map. It also determines whether a scaffold or request is created when you click the + button. If you are viewing requests, tapping **+** will create a request. If you are viewing scaffolds, tapping **+** will create a scaffold.

Selecting **Requests** will only display requests. These are marked by a “R” prefixed before the ID (e.g. R-00000033).

Selecting **Scaffolds** will only display scaffolds on the map. These are marked with an “S” prefixed before the ID (e.g. S-00000033).
