Version: 3.0.33.0 Release Date: May 6, 2014
New Features
- You can now automatically draw scaffold around walls added to the drawing page. This includes support for various options such as:
- Corners - Select from systems specific corner configurations such as 4-leg connector bay and independent bay corners.
- Sloped Walls - Automated wall scaffold will follow elevations for walls including top and bottom slope variations.
- Odd Sizes - Minor adjustment of bay location to fit systems materials and automatic tube and clamp fillers are added using logic based upon scaffolding standards for the US, Canada, and Australia.
Wall scaffold settings are saved to the drawing's properties, retaining this information when re-drawing scaffold for walls or when sharing drawings with other Avontus Designer users.
- A new sloped wall shape allows for elevation changes of the top and bottom of each end of a wall.
- New customization tools allow for the editing of the top and bottom node count for individual verticals/legs of a bay. This also includes the ability to skip the base collar.
- Cantilevers - Cantilever bays are now supported and can be configured with single, double, or tube and clamp support braces. Kwikstage cantilever bays are automatically supported using tube right angle clamps.
- Stair Stringers and Treads - Stairway components such as treads and stringers will now be automatically added to the Bill of Materials when a stair unit is not available.
- More options can now be controlled through Side Settings including Screwjacks, Toeboards, Cantilevers/Brackets, and Bracket settings.
- Select building shapes are now included in the wireframe view and will automatically update with changes made to the drawing page.
- In the Bay Level Editor, you can now remove a selected level from a bay, not just the topmost level.
- A new Block Structure shape has been added. This shape does not perform the automatic end clean-up and is useful for modeling slabs, floors, columns, ducts, etc.
Enhancements
- You can now create a new part by duplicating an existing part in the Material Master.
- The Backstage has been updated for easier Unit and Scaffold Material selection.
- Select building shape color and transparency settings now reflect in the 3D model view.
- Total Netting Area is now included as a part in the Bill of Materials for drawings that include netting.
- New license manager provides the ability for users to activate online. This also includes the ability to de-activate a license on one computer and easily activate the license on another computer.
- Select All Related Bays - The right-click menu for a bay now includes the option to Select All Related Bays. This will automatically select all bays joined to the selected bay.
- Copy and Paste Bays - Improvements to the copy/paste of bays now preserves additional bay properties.
- Drawing Page Bay Ledger Color - The color of a ledger now changes when the design uses tube and clamp.
- Default Document Location - The default document location has been moved to a shared folder for easier editing and access of files, reducing IT security restriction notifications and requirements.
- The recent document history has been greatly enhanced to include all opened Avontus Designer documents.
Issues Resolved
- Kwikstage Toeboards and Planks - Default materials for wood toeboards and planks have been updated to reflect most commonly used materials. These now match in width and height but will be totaled separately in the Bill of Materials.
- Kwikstage Ledger Substitution - Tube and clamp substitutions will occur automatically in more designs where systems ledgers were used previously. This is more accurate to actual scaffold requirements.
- Connector Bay Bounding Box - Connector bay bounding box now accurately reflects the exterior square of the object. Previously the points would remain at the original drop location.
- Intel 4000 Graphics Users - For Intel 4000 graphics cards on Microsoft Surfaces, hardware acceleration is now turned off by default due to faulty drivers.
