Creating a Weight-Based Rate Profile

Quantify can use the weights of Products to prorate rental rates. To create a weight-based Rate Profile, weights must be available for Products in the Product Catalog. The weights associated with Products will be available for calculations in Rate Profiles. Verify that weights entered are available and correct in the Product Catalog.

To create a weight-based Rate Profile:

1. Create a new Rate Profile.

2. Click the Change dropdown and select Calculate Rates Based on Weight.
   

   

   
   The Calculate Rate by Weight dialog appears. 

3. Click in the Price Per 1,000 text field and enter the targeted rate.
     

4. Click Change Rates.
   Quantify prorates the rental rate for each Product using the weight of the item against the targeted tonnage rate and displays the calculated rental rates for each Product in the 28 Day Rate column.
     

5. Click OK.
