Installing and Setting Up Quantify Web
Note: The setup and installation of Quantify Web requires the assistance of your IT professional. Each server environment is different and the exact steps needed to complete setup may vary from what is included in this section of Quantify Help.
Note: Quantify Web is a separately licensed add-on for Quantify. Contact sales@avontus.com to purchase or confirm licensing information.
Enabling and Configuring Internet Information Services on the Server
Internet Information Services (IIS) is a Windows feature that is disabled by default. Refer to this link for complete installation and configuration instructions: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms181052(v=vs.80).aspx
Under Windows Server 2012, you must ensure the following IIS features are installed:

Installing Quantify Web
For Quantify Web system requirements, refer to the Quantify Web download article.
To install Quantify Web:
Ensure that supporting Windows features are installed. These may be named differently under various Windows Server editions, but will be analogous to:

Double-click the installer icon.
The End User License Agreement interface appears.Click the I Agree to the license terms and conditions checkbox,
Click Install.
The Quantify Web Setup Wizard installer installs the application and notifies you when it is done.Click Finish.
Configuring Quantify for Quantify Web
During the configuration of the server's IIS or DNS, you will setup a default website. This is the site that will be used to host Quantify Web. The Quantify Web login page is often located at [site name]/quantify/.
ex. http://www.yourcompany.com/quantify/
ex. http://localhost/quantify/
Note: For a complete description of the Quantify Web tab of the Global Options dialog, refer to About the Global Options Dialog Quantify Web Tab.
To configure Quantify for Quantify Web:
Login to Quantify as an administrator.
Click the Tools menu and select Global Options.
The Global Options dialog appears.Click the Quantify Web tab.
Click in the Quantify Web URL text field and enter the URL to your Quantify Web installation.
As necessary:Click in the Display Text on Footer of Website text field and enter the text you want to appear in the footer of the Quantify Web website.
Click in the Text to Display at the Login Screen for Assistance text field and enter the appropriate text.
Click the Select Language-Country dropdown and select the appropriate language/country combination.
Click OK.
Setting Up Quantify Web's Google Maps API Key
The Google Maps API key enables you to use Google's Geo-coding address and mapping functionality, as well as Google's Cloud Platform Console to monitor your Quantify Web API usage. To use it, you must enter the key in the Global Options dialog. For Google information, refer to Google's article titled Use API Key.

Configuring Quantify Web to Connect to a Remote Quantify Database
You can install Quantify Web on one server and the Quantify database on another (for security purposes, for example) and easily have them communicate with each other. You just need to make a small change to one Quantify Web configuration file.
To configure Quantify Web to connect to a remote Quantify database:
Launch a Windows Explorer window and navigate your Quantify Web root folder.
For example: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\quantify .Double-click appcnnection.config.
Change the Data Source appropriately.
Close appcnnection.config.
Test the connection by logging in to Quantify Web.

Entering a Google Maps Key for Quantify Web
Quantify Web can use Google Maps to geo-locate your job sites, scaffold tags and other locations. This requires a Google Maps key for your server, which you can get by going to https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/static-maps/ and following Google's instructions. Once you have gotten your Google Maps key, enter it into the Global Options dialog. The procedures below show you how to do that.
To enter a Google Maps key for Quantify Web:
Log in to Quantify as an administrator.
Click the Tools menu and select Global Options.
The Global Options dialog appears, displaying the General tab by default.Click in the Google maps key (used by Quantify Web) text field and enter the Google maps key.
Click OK.
