Article summary

Avontus Designer makes it easy for you to export your drawings to 2D and 3D in multiple formats, including:

- Scaffold Viewer drawings

- 3D AutoCAD (.dwg) drawings in either Conceptual or Model view

- 3D .pdf files in either Conceptual or Model view

- 2D .pdf files

- 2D AutoCAD (.dwg) drawings

Exporting to 2D preserves the drawing block and all text, while opening in 3D provides objects that are ready for rendering in 3D. Exporting to 3D (whether .dwg or .pdf) produces a rendering as seen in the Conceptual or Model tab of the 3D View pane

To export a 2D or 3D drawing:

1. Click the Import/Export tabthen click the appropriate icon.

The Select File Name to Save dialog appears.

2. Highlight the existing name in the File Name text field and enter the name of the new file. (Be sure to include the appropriate file extension.)

3. Navigate to the folder into which you want to save the file and click Save.
