Adding a Multi Purpose Beam

Multi-purpose beams can be added to an Avontus Designer drawing.

We will add a multi-purpose beam to the design below.

To do this

1. Set up the Bay size in the TB and LR drop-downs

2. Drag in a Bay onto the design page

3. Next modify the Bay to the required specifications. This includes

   3. Skipping the verticals
      

   4. Setting the Elevation

      

3. Unplanking the top level

4. Removing all bottom Ledgers

   

4; We can then move the bay into position
