Article summary

The Origin Glyph shows where the lower-left corner of the Designer page will be relative to the model. It will always be at 0 feet/meters

Note: If you click Apply, the Conceptual view of the model will change. This means you do not need to close the dialog to see your changes.

Move and Rotate (if necessary) the Model so it displays within the page

Click Top on the Navigation Cube

In this example, we want to move the model, so that the Origin Glyph is to the left of the model. This is so the model appears, in full, on the drawing page and doesn't go off the page.

Click Move Model

In Move Model, enter how many feet to move the model. A positive number will move the model away from the Origin Glyph whilst a negative number will move the model closer to the Origin Glyph.

Click OK and the model will move

Rotate Model

You also have the option to rotate the model. The rotate is always set back to zero and is relative to the current view, for example, if you rotate the image by 10 degrees and then open up rotate it is back to zero

You can then rotate the Model on its axis.

Click OK and the model will rotate on its axis.

Scale Model

You can scale the model

You do this to increase the size of the model.

Entering 2 will double the size of the model

You can enter 0.5 to reduce the size of the model by half
